Prosecco & Pedagogy Evening – Thursday 16th November
We were delighted to welcome Early Years teachers and heads from 14 schools to our first Prosecco & Pedagogy evening on Thursday 16th November 2023. The aim of these evenings, which Arc Pathway will be hosting once a term, is to meet like-minded Early Years specialists, share knowledge, and hear from educational experts.
For our first event, we heard from Melanne Madalenne, founder of Maximum Potential. Melanne was an inspiration to listen to, outlining the most important sensory systems that are developed in the Early Years and how to identify key behaviours in the classroom that may be linked to sensory needs. Sitting at the back of the room, you could hear a pin drop, for every educator was wanting to capture and remember each word of Melanne’s! She had the room on their feet, trying out some sensory assessments for themselves, and offered future support to those schools who wanted further advice.
The evening also provided a valuable opportunity for teams to meet other Early Years specialists, share views on best practice, as well as developments in Education and the Early Years. Tadpoles Kensington provided the perfect location for the event; it was great to see their Early Years setting, and take away some great ideas, particularly around Christmas inspired role play!
The Arc Pathway platform has been built with the support of some incredible educational experts. At Arc Pathway, we want to continue to share our knowledge and expertise of these individuals, and hope that the upcoming Prosecco & Pedagogy evenings will provide the opportunity to do just that.
